I’m working on my first assignment. Right now it’s a work in progress, but you can see the code here.

The course provides a pretty clear guide on what to do. For now, I’m learning how to hide my API key from GitHub.

They recommend using Picasso for handling online images. Sensible and simple.

I don’t want to do HTTP calls manually, and the evaluation Rubric is unavailable, so I’ll just use OKHTTP for now. They did suggest it after all, and I can always gut it later. I’ll build it as a stand-alone class.

I built the project. Took me I guess about 5 hours total?

After submitting my assignment, I got some nice feedback on better using ConstraintLayout (which I haven’t used before) and that I should use Butterknife. I do like Butterknife, so I just implemented it quickly anyway.

Right now it’s a work in progress, but you can see the code here.
